A multi-component epoxy composite repair system designed for high-pressure sealing applications with working pressures up to 2,000 PSI (140 kg/cm 2) and operating temperatures up to 165°F (74°C). The repair system provides a built in 5:1 safety margin. Repair applications can be made regardless of pipe orientation and results in a durable coating approximately 5mm thick. The repair epoxy system has a working time of approximately 8 – 10 minutes and will allow return to service
in as little as 4 hours. Supplied in a kit with all the necessary components for field installation*. Standard kits for repair of pipes up to 4″ in diameter are available; non-standard kits can be custom made to order with short delivery times.
* Installation requires no special training and involves minimal surface preparation.
Physical Properties of Sealant:
Shelf Life: 6 months from date of purchase when stored at 40° to 83°F (5° to 28°C).
Colour: Component 1-Clear/Component 2- Straw/Fiber-yellow.
Mixing Ratio: As supplied, dual cartridge dispenser.
Pot Life: 8 min. @72°F (22°C), after mixing for films less than 1/2″ thick.
Glass Transition Temperature:
Cure Time: 216°F (102°C), cured and annealed. – 4 hour @72°F (22°C) at 1/8″ film thickness.
Sealant Viscosity: GeHike before cure.
